The Australian TSS visa will be replaced by the Australia New Skill in Demand visa on December 7, 2024. The SID will have three streams: Skills Pathway, Core Skills Pathway, and Essential Skills Pathway. Australia's new skill-in-demand visa will also cover 465 occupations, including education, health, agriculture,construction, and tech jobs. The new CSOL will be used for the Direct Entry Stream for Subclass 186 visa. This stream will also be for Business candidates.

Australia introduced a new National Innovation visa (subclass 858), replacing the GTI Visa on December 6,2024. However, the name has been changed; other than that, the processing and eligibility requirements are the same as GTI. The Priority Stream 1 and 2 visas are for those with internationally recognized awards and are top in their field. Once the Priority streams are completed, priority is given to Tier 1 and 2 sectors.

Migration Tasmania has released information about the assessment criteria for skilled employment according to the ANZSCO (Skill Level 1-3). Multiple factors will determine whether the employment is skilled or not.

The work experience, qualifications, duties, and pay must be aligned with the ANZSCO skill level (1-3) requirements.
Salary that will define the job as skilled employment
According to the TSMIT, the salary should be above $73,150, making the job qualified according to ANZSCO Skill Level 1-3 requirements.

Important Announcement: Northern Territory is adjusting DAMA to DAMA III
On December 13, 2024, the recent NT DAMA will expire, so the Northern Territory decided to introduce NT DAMA III. NT DAMA III will establish a new 5-year agreement with an enlarged occupation list and facilitate the application process.
Changes to be noted:
Submission of Applications (Before and After)
To receive the result on time, the application should be submitted to the Migration NT portal by December 6, 2024, before the expiry date.
Last date of Submission
The applications portal will close after December 13, 2024, and the new DAMA III is expected to reopen by mid to late January 2025
Labor Agreement Request and Nomination
The portal expiration date won’t apply to business nominations. They can continue submitting their Labor agreement and nomination even after the expiry of the current agreement. The approved nomination will be valid for 12 months.
Skills evaluation
The Australian government will accept Employees with business applications, which applied on December 6, 2024.
Transition to NT DAMA III
Once DAMA III starts operating, the process and guidelines will be mentioned later. Businesses with a current agreement can continue with the current application and apply for a new endorsement for additional nomination under DAMA III.

Registration for the first Pre-Application Ballot for the MATES visa stream opens in December 2024. Indians who are top graduates or early career professionals can apply for the pre-application ballot for a Temporary Work (International Relations) (Subclass 403) visa.
Each year, Australia plans to grant up to 3,000 Subclass 403 MATES steam visas. Indians who want to apply for the procedure must first apply through the Pre-application ballot system. DHA announced results of the 1st Invitation round for the FY 2024-25
Australia Department of Home affairs have released the result for the first invitation round. On September 1st, the first round was held. DHA issued total of 7,973 for Subclass 189. Trades occupations specialists, IT professionals, engineers, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other general occupations receive invitations. Australia Working Holiday Visa: Requirements eligibility, and processing date for Indians
On 16 September 202, the Australian Government declared the ballot process for an Australian Working Holiday Visa. Three countries under the Ballot procedure are listed: India, China, and Vietnam. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria below to apply for a ballot process. Applied candidates will be selected randomly and invited to apply for the visa.

Tasmania state received 2860 nomination places for FY 2024-25
2860 nomination places have been received by Tasmania state for FY 2024-25. Among them, the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa received 2,100 places, while 760 places were received for the Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa. Tasmania’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Program will accept Registration of Interest in the coming weeks, and the details will be updated soon.
Nomination application lodged but decision is pending
Migration Tasmania will be processing the applications against the requirements specified earlier for applications that have been registered but have not been decided on. Applicants who receive approval will be nominated for SkillSelect.
Subclass 491 applicants seeking subclass 190 nomination
Subclass 491 Applicants who have registered their nomination but have not received a decision will NOT be considered for subclass 190 nomination. Applications open for Western Australia State Nomination FY 2024-25
The Western Australia State Nomination program is now open for application for the FY 2024-25. The WA has announced a fee waiver of AUD 200 on application fees. Invitation rounds might be held on the 1st week of every month with the 1st round to begin from August 24 onwards. Subclass 191 visa applicants will be required to produce an employment offer whereas Subclass 491 applicants do not. Willing candidates must have a competent level of IELTS/PTE Academic scores.
