A Sweden Visit Visa is a short-term Schengen visa that allows you to travel to Sweden for tourism, family visits, or short business activities. It is meant for people who want to stay for a short time and then return to India. Sweden is part of the Schengen Area. Indian citizens need a Schengen visa to visit Sweden for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Sweden is expected to receive around 9.4 million international visitors by 2028, with steady growth every year. This visa also allows you to travel to other Schengen countries for tourism, business, or family visits.

Stockholm, the capital city, recorded about 15.3 million overnight stays in 2019, making it one of the most visited cities in Europe. In 2025, Sweden had around 8.2 million international tourists, showing strong recovery and growth in tourism.

Indian passport holders must apply for a Schengen visa before travelling to Sweden, as there is no Visa on Arrival. The application process is simple, and you can apply through VFS Global. With a good visa approval rate, planning your trip to Sweden is now easier.
