What is a Job Seeker Visa?

Job Seeker Visa allows an individual to enter the country and search for jobs for a specific period of time. The validity differs for each country. Once they find a job, they need to convert the job seeker visa to a Work Permit in order to stay in the country.

These visas are typically issued by countries that have a high demand for skilled labor and wish to attract qualified professionals to fill job vacancies. Key features and requirements of a Job Seeker Visa can vary depending on the country, but generally include:

  • Purpose: The primary purpose of this visa is to allow the holder to search for a job in the country.

  • Duration: The visa is usually granted for a limited time, often 3-9 months, during which the individual must find employment.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants typically need to meet certain criteria, such as having a recognized degree or qualifications, relevant work experience, and sometimes language proficiency.
  • Proof of Funds: Applicants may need to show that they have sufficient financial resources to support themselves during their stay until they find employment.
  • Health Insurance: Proof of health insurance for the duration of the stay might be required.
