Saskatchewan PNP invites a total of 280 in latest SINP draw

Saskatchewan in Canada has held another round of invitations under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP]. All the provinces and territories in Canada – with the exception of Quebec province and Nunavut territory – are a part of the Canadian PNP.

On July 21, 2021, Saskatchewan PNP invited a total of 280 Canada immigration hopefuls to apply for being provincially nominated by Saskatchewan for their permanent residence in Canada.

Invitations issued in the latest SINP draw went out to candidates eligible for the International Skilled Worker [ISW] immigration pathways or ‘streams’ of Saskatchewan Express Entry or Occupations In-Demand.

The selection of EOIs is limited by the SINP occupation-wise so that – [1] nominations don’t exceed the employment demand in Saskatchewan, and [2] nominees with positive employment prospects in Saskatchewan are selected.

How does a PNP nomination benefit an IRCC Express Entry candidate?
A federal Express Entry candidate that is able to secure a PNP nomination, through any of the Express Entry linked PNP streams, is allotted 600 CRS ‘additional’ points. By CRS is implied the Comprehensive Ranking System used for prioritizing profiles while in the Express Entry pool of candidates. With a 600-point boost got through a PNP nomination, the profile of that candidate is thereby boosted towards the top of the pool. Thereby, guaranteeing an invitation to apply [ITA] in the next federal draw to be held by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC]. Only the highest-ranked IRCC Express Entry candidates are asked to apply for Canada PR. Applying for permanent residence through the Express Entry system is by invitation only.

With the latest round of invitations, Saskatchewan PNP has invited a total of 4,465 candidates in 2021 so far.
