Bachelor's program in PCA

Foundation in Paris

Individuals who have enrolled in Paris College of Art as Freshmen or first-year students for the BFA study program start their education in the Foundation Year. The year of the Foundation program prepares candidates to handle any of the studio disciplines PCA offers.

Foundation online: Pathway to Paris

Due to the global pandemic, Paris College of Art has developed Foundation courses offered online, termed Pathway to Paris. It facilitates the candidates to participate in Foundation Year from remote locations.

Global BFA Film Art

Individuals who want to pursue Film Art can participate in a 3 year rigorous Global BFA in Film Art, a joint degree program offered by Paris College of Art and Emerson College. Applications for this degree program must be submitted to www.emerson.edu.

Paris College of Art offers degree programs in art and design, where the students who complete their 4 years of studies are awarded a Bachelor’s Degree. At PCA, the students have the option to pursue a BFA or Bachelor of Fine Arts in:

  • Communication Design
  • Fashion Design

  • Interior Design
  • Photography

All the degree programs start with the Foundation Year, which can be pursued in person or virtually through online studies. Candidates can complete their Global BFA in Film Arts degree, which is a program offered in collaboration with Emerson College in 3 years.

Types of credits offered PFA

Studio

Studio credits are assigned in classes that require creating artwork, and since such creations involve certain equipment, tools, and spatial needs. Non-studio credits need more work done outside the class by students, than in-studio classes. The non-studio work includes:

Independent study credits are awarded on the basis of the same framework of 15 hours of in-person instruction and independent work of at least 30 hours for each credit in the entire semester.
