The top sectors in Dubai will go on hiring spree in 2017

Data suggests that 2017 is anticipated to be a better year for job aspirants in Dubai. As per the latest research held by Hays more than 50% of the workers of GCC are planning to exit their current firms. On the other hand around 14% of the employers in UAE assert that they are lacking the talent that is required to meet the objectives of the next year, as reported by the Khaleej Times.

A separate study conducted by Manpower Group reveals that more than 75% of the employer firms that had participated in the survey were planning to expand the number of employees in the next one year.

Thus with high attrition rates and employers seeking the right talents, 2017 is likely to witness an increase in the availability of jobs.

Managing Director of Monster.com for APAC & Middle East Sanjay Modi has said that the employee talent gaps and movement of employees will definitively create more job prospects in 2017. But it is important for job applicants to stand out from the lot owing to high levels of competition. The online hiring remains low as of now in the UAE, added Modi.

The updated MEI on the basis of the actual review of job prospects from a wide range of representation of online job listings and career websites has demonstrated that Supply Chain occupations/ Logistics/ Purchase were the segments that registered an impressive growth of 19%. Telecom and IT sectors registered a growth of 5% while compared to the previous year.

However, Insurance, Financial services, and Banking were the sectors that witnessed a lower yearly increase in recruitment based online with 39%.
