All Australian industries have recorded jobs growth in April as per the latest report revealed by SEEK. The top growth sector in Australia for this month was Energy, Resources, and Mines with a growth of 62% in comparison with April 2017.

SEEK Report revealed that there was 16.5% increase in job ads in April 2018 in comparison with the same month in 2017, as quoted by the Insight Resources SEEK.

With 49% growth in April 2018, Community Services and Development was also a key contributing sector to the annual growth. It has been forecasted by the Productivity Commission that Australia may need around 1 million aged care workers by the year 2050. This is to cater to the predicted requirement from aging baby boomers.

SEEK ANZ Managing Director Kendra Banks said that the community services sector has witnessed an amazing growth of jobs. It has been chiefly due to huge demand for support workers for disabled and aged, he added.

The growth of CSD sector has also been due to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. NDIS is a national scheme rolled out by the Australian government. It has positively impacted the growth of jobs in the last 2 years.

50,000 jobs were created in Australia in 2017 by the NDIS scheme according to the estimations of the Goldman Sachs economists. Additional 100,000 jobs can be expected to be added by 2020, they add.

The estimations by the economists have also been supported by SEEK data. This has been substantiated by the increased jobs in CSDsector and Healthcare in April 2018 when compared with April 2017.

Annual growth of jobs has been witnessed by every State and Territory in Australia in the month of April 2018.
