Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is also considered to qualify for this visa. On March 29, employers greeted the USCIS as they have to depend on this visa to increase their workforce.
Process to check the selection
The applicants were registered with the help of their employer’s USCIS account. Case numbers and receipt notice are not provided by the USCIS. But it provides status updates which can be found next to the name of the applicant. Selected will also be written in front of the name of the selected candidates. If the status is submitted, then it means that candidates are not selected.
What to do if candidates are not selected?
Three rounds of selection process were conducted in 2021, and the selection process was completed on February 8, 2022. Second round will be conducted, but the process will not start till July 2022. An announcement has to be made by USCIS after the allocation of all the H-1B visa CAP for the fiscal year 2023, and then the selection process will be closed. The selected status will be updated at that time.
Process after getting the selected status
The candidates who are selected have to file petitions between April 1, 2022, and June 30, 2022. This year USCIS also allowed for premium processing of the visa. If the approval of the petition is done before October 1, 2022, the H-1B visa will status will take effect on or after October 1, 2022.
