Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has set up a new immigration website, which is reportedly an attempt to provide easier, more user-friendly and quicker service for its customers.
One of the most visited websites in New Zealand, the INZ website is the one of the largest Government organisation websites in the country, drawing more than 32,000 visits per day and it drew more than 12 million visits in the last one year. The website draws visitors/visa applicants from all over the world or those who want to know more about visiting New Zealand as a tourist or on business.
Nigel Bickle, Head of Immigration, said that INZ was becoming progressively a digital service, and with this new website, it will provide access to visa applicants online for the world over.
The new website, which gives precedence to the users, is a gateway to INZ, and provides immigrant information to those wishing to study, tour or work in New Zealand, added Bickle.
The content was also said to have been rewritten in a simpler, concise manner and positioned at the most convenient place for users visiting the website.
Lot of testing with users and feedback went into the development of the website, with research undertaken to know how their customers view the information.
It also reportedly supports the New Zealand government’s steadfast approach to attract the crème de la crème among migrants to boost the economy, besides supporting the Better Public Services initiatives to improve interaction between the government and the applicants.
The new website’s URL is www.immigration.govt.nz.
Indian students, tourists and prospective immigrants of New Zealand can henceforth log on to this website for information on various services.
