List of EU countries that have completely removed COVID-19 travel restrictions

The situation of COVID-19 has improved, and the vaccination rate has also increased. Because of this improvement, many countries of the European Union and European Economic Area have lifted the restrictions regarding traveling from different countries. The following countries have permitted the immigrants to travel to the country without any restrictions:

  • Czechia
  • Denmark
  • Hungary
  • Iceland
  • Ireland
  • Latvia
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Slovenia
  • Sweden

*Willing to visit EU countries, apply for a Schengen visa with the help of Y-Axis professionals. Travelers who do not belong to any EU and EEA countries will have a restriction-free entry in these countries. The status of vaccination will also not be considered. There is no need to provide any COVID pass which includes any of the following:

  • A vaccination certificate
  • A recovery certificate
  • A test certificate

The travelers have to hold only travel documents like a passport and the required visa. The travelers also do not have to worry about the domestic COVID-19 measures, as many countries have lifted up the restrictions. Travelers can enjoy in bars, restaurants, cafes, museums, theaters, and there is no requirement of any COVID certificates. Greece is also planning to remove entry restrictions for the third-country travelers. Thanos Pleveris, The Greek Minister of health, has said that immigrants from any country can visit Greece without any restrictions from May 2. These travelers do not have to show any COVID certificate after reaching Greece. The following countries have no plans to lift up the COVID-19 restrictions.

  • Spain
  • France
  • Portugal
  • Italy
  • Germany

The WHO has reported that in the last seven days, 6,448,828 new COVID-19 cases occurred in the last seven days.  According to European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, the vaccination doses have reached up to 890,580,539. The report has also mentioned that primary course has been taken up by 72.5 percent population while additional dose has been received by 52.9 percent people.
