Ontario PNP invites 326 masters graduates

On August 25, 2021, Ontario held its draw under the Masters Graduate stream for the second time and invited 326 master's graduates.

The invited Master's Graduates should register for an Expression of Interest (EOI). The EOI score should be at least 37 in order to receive an invitation. Now they will have 14 days period to apply and need to pay a $1,500 application fee.

Earlier this month, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has launched an EOI intake system for Graduates and Master's Graduates'. The international students who graduated from the list of Ontario institutions are eligible to apply through Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to immigrate to Canada at any time.

Ontario’s Masters Graduate Stream

In the Masters Graduate Stream, the candidates willing to apply need to sign up with Ontario’s e-Filing Portal. Next, they need to register for an Expression of Interest related to the graduate stream.

Ontario invites the eligible candidates to apply for a provincial nomination, which highly supports the application of Canadian permanent residence.

The candidate need not have a job offer, but they need to apply for the nomination within two years of their graduation. Graduates from the below list of universities are eligible for applying under this stream:

How do Ontario ranks EOI profiles?

Ontario ranks all its EOI profiles on several human capital factors that the province has decided will be significant in selecting immigrants. The points are allotted based on the skill level and the job offer as well as the work experience in Canada.

This OINP scoring system differs based on the stream the candidate chooses to apply for. Apart from the skill level and work experience, it also considers the educational qualification, wages, language proficiency, and the region where they completed their study or work. The province also allots 10 points extra for the candidates who meet the labor market needs.
