What is the easiest way to get Australia PR in 2023?

Australia has always welcomed foreign students, visitors, and job-seekers, making it a desired destination for many aspiring migrants. Thousands also opt for Australian permanent residency.

As the Australian government provides many benefits to permanent residents, with an Australia PR, you’ll have all the rights that other Australians are eligible for.

Skilled Independent Visa 189 (subclass 189)

A skilled Independent Visa is a points-based pathway for getting a PR visa. It is given to eligible foreign employees who intend to work and settle in Australia. To obtain it, you need to get an occupation that is listed on the skilled occupation list.

Eligible to apply for a sub class 189 visa are individuals aged below 45. Since it is based on points applicants get, you need to score a minimum of 65 points on the eligibility test. In case you fulfil the eligibility criteria, the Department of Home Affairs will send you an invitation to apply for visa 189.

Visa 189 holders are allowed to sponsor their close relatives, making them also eligible to apply for Australian permanent residency. The cost of a Skilled Independent Visa is AUD 4,115.

Skilled Nominated Visa 190 (subclass 190)

This visa is meant for skilled foreign workers who are nominated by a state or territory government of Australia. Those who get nominated are allowed to work and settle permanently in Australia. Because sub class visa 190 is a permanent visa, it allows its holders to study, live, and work in Australia permanently. You must be under 45 to apply for this visa.

Just like the subclass 189 visa, applicants need to score a minimum of 65 points to get a Skilled Nominated Visa. The occupation you apply for should be available on the related skilled occupation list. In case you fulfill the points test and meet the eligibility criteria, the Department of Home Affairs will invite you to apply for it. The cost of a Skilled visa 190 is AUD 4,115 for the primary applicant. Charges for dependent family members will be separate.

People under 18 and those not proficient in English will have to pay more. This fee needs to be paid only when the department asks for it.

You can apply for a Skilled Nominated Visa, regardless of whether you are in Australia or not. However, you should not be in the immigration clearance when the department arrives at a decision regarding your application. In case you are in Australia while you submit the application, you must be holding an applicable visa or any of the Bridging Visas of A, B, or C. If you do not hold any of the visas mentioned, your application will be considered invalid for visa 190.

 Skilled Regional Visa 491 (Provisional)

Skilled employees from overseas who intend to work in designated regions of Australia are allowed to apply for visa 491, a short-term visa. This visa allows its holders to work for a maximum period of five years in regional Australia. You can also apply for a PR in Australia 3 years after the date on which you were granted visa 491.

Either the state or territory government of Australia should nominate you for visa 491, or you need to be sponsored by a close relative who is living in that country. You need to submit through SkillSelect an Expression of Interest (EOI). The objective of an EOI is to get your score assessment on the points test.

Your occupation needs to be on the skilled occupation list, and you need to have a positive skills assessment for your occupation to obtain visa 491. You and your dependent family members must fulfill the health and character requirements. If you fulfill the eligibility criteria, the Department of Home Affairs will send an invitation to you to apply for visa 491.

What are the advantages of getting an Australian PR?

Australia is rich and one of the most developed nations in the world. Many foreign students and workers who come to Australia decide to stay there permanently. Immediately after you get permanent residency, you will enjoy many benefits in Australia.

When you get Australia’s permanent residency, you enjoy most benefits that its other citizens do, like working in Australia permanently, enrolling in Medicare to avail of the public health and medical services in Australia, obtaining bank loans to buy an Australian property, traveling to and into Australia as many times as you want, work in New Zealand, and apply for citizenship of Australia.
