The median salary or the middle salary value is 72,000 AUD per year. This indicates that half the population are earning less than this amount while another half is earning more than this amount.

Average salary by city

When looking at the salary range on cities of Australia, employees in Perth get the highest with an annual gross income of AUD 106,930 while those in the city of Launceston are paid the least at AUD 74,722.


While there will be a marginal increase in the average salary figures in Australia for 2021, it will not be a dramatic increase from 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
