Highlights

  • Around 1,012,900 vacant jobs were present among all ten provinces during March 2022
  • Foreign nationals can anticipate getting a job based on the Occupations list.
  • Search for a suitably skilled job before even immigrating to Canada.

Good news to foreign nationals

A record level of unfilled jobs and a low Canadian unemployment rate becomes a piece of good news for foreign nationals waiting to immigrate to Canada under economically affordable immigration programs, and obtaining their dream job requires the following steps.

According to Canada's statistical figures, there were a record number of 1,012,900 vacant jobs, which is more than the number of paid jobs in almost 10 Canadian provinces in March.

The following steps will help a foreign national to grab a job from the million vacant postings in Canada.

Step 1: Update Phone number or Email

When an employer offers a job or requests an interview, he needs to reach the applicant immediately or leave a message.

The applicant willing to work in Canada must have an active phone number with a professional voice mail system. The foreign nationals must try to write a script for their voicemail system and record it.

That recording must have previous company details and proper experience so the employer can conduct background research before calling a second time.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) allow foreign applicants to create an online Express Entry profile under the Express Entry program. To create the Express Entry profile, the applicants must:

  • The applicants must have a language proficiency test to demonstrate their language skills (one of Canada's official languages, English or French).
  • Should get the foreign education credentials evaluated if the applicant is willing to travel to Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker program.
  • The job that is offered to the candidate or expecting to get an offer by a Canadian employer must be listed in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list
  • Calculate the eligibility for Express Entry immigration points.
  • Build the Express Entry profile with the following factors.

Step 4: Identify Niche markets that best suit your skills

Niche markets provide opportunities for immigrants with skills in high demand that are available even if there are workers already in Canada.

Foreign citizens usually bring in-demand language skills, excellent knowledge from their home country, and different ways of doing business.

Generally, a niche can be a particular area of expertise or skill within a field.

In some cases, a niche can be a particular area of expertise within a larger field.

For example, information technology professionals are usually requested to develop apps, set up the software, repair the network, and sometimes build computer games or other programs.
