One of the acts of strengthening ties with Indo-Pacific countries is the launching of Canada-ASEAN Scholarships as well as the program for Educational Exchanges for Development.
The program will offer 14.2 million CAD in funding for the next 5 years. It is designed to encourage exchanges and sharing of knowledge and skills and to introduce advanced education and research in common areas of interest.
The education-oriented program aids international students in social and economic contributions to Canada.
