Indians will no longer need a visa for Brazil

President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil came to power at the beginning of this year. He has introduced a policy which provides visa-waiver to a number of developed countries of the world. However, he now has made an announcement that will extend this facility to several developing countries of the world.

President Bolsonaro announced on Thursday that Brazil would no longer need Indians and Chinese to obtain a visa.

The announcement was made during an official visit to China. This is the first time that Brazil will be expanding this facility to the developing countries of the world.

At the start of this year, Brazil waived the visa requirement for the following countries:

  • United States of America
  • Japan
  • Canada
  • Australia

However, Brazilians still need a visa to visit these countries. These countries are yet to drop their visa requirements for Brazil.
