The fresh system of rating the Canada Job Match Service has become effective for provisional overseas workers from 28 August 2017 applicable for hires under TFWP. Canadian employers must use this system for inviting prospective provisional overseas workers. The candidates who possess a certain minimum level of compatibility with the advertised job are invited.
The new feature Job Match Service will provide easy access to the employers to the overseas workers through their Canada Job Bank personal dashboard. The implementation of the Job Match Service will impact LMIA applications under both the low-wage and high-wage categories.
Canadian employers hiring provisional overseas workers for the high-wage jobs are required to invite all job seekers who match within the first month of advertisement of the job. This is only if the candidates are having a rating of 4 stars or more in the Job Match Service.
On the other hand, employers hiring provisional overseas workers for the low-wage jobs are required to invite all job seekers who match within the first month of advertisement of the job. It is only applicable for candidates who have a rating of 2 stars or more in the Job Match Service, as quoted by the CIC News.
A video explaining the Job Match Service has been provided by the government of Canada. Employers must log in to their account which will show them all jobs posted for their business. Anonymous potential hires matched with the jobs will be displaying a clear green button.
The profiles of the job seekers are then given rankings as per the profiles that are best matched. After this, it is easy to click on the profile of the worker. The employer can then click on the button for ‘Invite to Apply’ that is clearly marked.
