Moving Forward Together - Canada's 2030 Agenda National Strategy was launched in support of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to eradicate poverty, safeguard the environment, and ensure that people live in peace and prosperity.
One of these goals (SDG 17) is to ‘Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.’
The goal aims at ensuring that individuals and institutions are not left to their own devices in the fight against poverty and environmental degradation The Goal promotes the need for new financial resources to execute the 17 SDGs, as well as global, regional, national, and local collaboration.
