A person who is 45 years and above can apply for Australia PR through various pathways, which are as follows:

 

Parent Visa:

One of the pathways to apply for Australia PR is through Parent Visa. The applicant can apply through a parent Visa if they have a child or a relative who is either an Australian citizen, PR holder, or eligible citizens of New Zealand. Partner Visa

The applicant can apply for Australia PR even after the age of 45 if the applicant has a partner who is either an Australian Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident. To apply for this Visa, the applicant:

  • They must be married to their partner, and the marriage should abide by the marriage laws of Australia.
  • Must be in a de facto relationship with their partner for a minimum of at least 12 months

Business Visa

If the applicant is 45 years old but below the age of 55 and is looking to start a business on their own, then they can apply through this Visa.

Student Visa Subclass 500

The Student Visa Subclass 500 doesn’t have an age limit for applying under this Visa. The applicant can apply through this pathway as long as they meet the requirements and eligibility criteria, and the applicant must be enrolled in a course at an Australian University.

 

Distinguished Talent Visa Subclass 124

Distinguished Talent Visa is a subset of Global Talent Visa, curated for a person who is exceptionally gifted or talented and does not fit into the Global Talent Visa categories. The applicant can apply under this category if they:

  • Have an international recognition.
  • Exceptional and outstanding achievements in their profession, a sport, an art form, or academics and research
  • Must be nominated by either an Australian organization related to the applicant’s field or a person who is Australian PR, Australian citizen, an eligible New Zealand citizen
