Applications for the Skilled Migrant Category residence in New Zealand that are currently being processed in London will be processed in Auckland from July 1, 2017. Applicants of Skilled Migrant Category residence in New Zealand must send their applications directly to Auckland in New Zealand rather than sending it to Visa Application Centre in London, as quoted by Immigration Govt NZ.
Candidates who had received the invitation to apply for residence through the Skilled Migrant Category and were asked to send their applications to the Visa Application Centre in London, they must now send their applications to Auckland if they expect it to be delivered after July 1, 2017.
It is also advised that applicants make use of a renowned global mail service for sending their applications and to have a photocopy of the application prior to sending it. It has also to be noted by the applicants that they need to only send certified copies of their documents including the passport and originals are not required.
Applications that have been filed after July 1, 2017, through a legal expert or Licensed Immigration Advisor will be processed at Auckland’s Henderson Area Office, New Zealand. The applications received prior to this date will be processed at the Visa Application Centre in London.
Applications can be sent to the Visa Application Centre in London only till July 1, 2017.
Applications that will be processed in New Zealand will require payment in New Zealand dollars through a credit card. The current fee for the residence application under the Skilled Migrant Category is 2, 470 New Zealand dollars.
