OINP invites 28 candidates under Entrepreneur stream
Canada issued 28 invitations through Ontario Immigration Nominee Program to the candidates who applied under Entrepreneur stream. Candidates who have submitted their Express of Interest on August 8, 2022 were eligible for this draw.
Here are the financial requirements which candidates have to follow for the entrepreneur stream:
Net Worth
If the business has been proposed for Greater Toronto Area, candidates have to invest around $800,000.
If the business has been proposed for outside Greater Toronto Area, the amount of investment will be $400,000.
If the business proposed business is for digital communications or ICT, the amount of investment is $400,000 and business can be opened anywhere in the province.
Investment and Ownership
If the business is in Greater Toronto Area, candidates have to invest $600,000 and 33 percent of the business has to be owned by the investors.
If the business is outside the Greater Toronto Area, the amount of investment is $200,000 and investors have to own 33 percent of the business.
If the proposed business is in digital communications or ICT, candidates have to invest $200,000 and candidates have to own 33 percent of the business.
Non-Financial Requirements
Applicants should have a full-time working experience of 24 months in the past 60 months as an owner or a manager.
Candidates have to create two full-time jobs if the business is in GTA and one full-time job if the business is outside GTA or is in ICT or digital communications.
Candidates have to make a visit to Ontario 12 months before applying. This rule has to be followed by these candidates who have a plan to purchase a business.
The minimum language proficiency score for English or French should be CLB 4.
Candidates have to reside in Ontario 75 percent of the time to manage the business
