IRCC held two Express Entry draws in January 2023 and issued 11,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs). The details of the Express Entry draws held in January were given below:

IRCC held its first Express Entry Draw of the month, and invited 5,500 candidates on January 11, 2023. IRCC held all-program draw in January 2023 and invited candidates having a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 507.

Canada held its second Express Entry Draw of January and invited 5,500 candidates on January 11, 2023. Candidates having a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 490 were issued ITAs. These candidates will get the eligibility to apply for a Canada PR visa.

Why CRS score is important?

Express Entry holds draws every month and announces the cut-off scores. Generally, candidates with 600 CRS score and above will be issued an Invitation to Apply by IRCC. In the latest Express Entry draw the CRS score is 490, that means with the increase of the number of invitations, the CRS score will be decreased.

If they have a low CRS score, i.e., below 450 then the candidates should try to improve their score or apply for a PNP nomination.
