Pathways to migrate to Canada

There are many pathways which the UK residents can use to migrate to Canada. All these programs are discussed here in detail:
 

Express Entry system

There are three programs in the Express Entry system which the people can use to migrate to Canada. These programs are:

Besides this, candidates can also apply through Provincial Nominee Programs. Applicants have to score at least 67 points out of 100 to become eligible to apply for a visa. The factors and the points can be found in the table below:

Eligibility criteria for Express Entry are as follows:

  • Age of applicants should be below 45 years

  • Experience of 2 years in specified professions
  • Language proficiency should be proved through tests like IELTS, CELPIP, and PTE
  • No criminal history
  • Medical exams should be cleared

International Experience Canada

The International Experience Canada is a Working Holiday program which British citizens can apply for to live in Canada to have work experience. Visa holders can also travel anywhere in Canada. No job offer is needed to apply for this visa. The eligibility requirement for this visa is mentioned below:

  • Age of applicants should be between 18 and 30 years
  • Applicants can apply only once through the IEC program
  • Health and medical certificate is needed
  • Travel insurance is required till the time visa is valid
  • A valid passport should be submitted

Atlantic Immigration Pilot

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot is a program which candidates can use to migrate to the following provinces:

  • Prince Edward Island
  • Newfoundland and Labrador
  • New Brunswick
  • Nova Scotia

There are three pathways under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot program which are listed below:

Quebec Immigration

No job offer is needed to apply for Quebec Immigration. The candidates in this immigration program are chosen on the basis of permanent residence. Candidates should have the intention of becoming established economically and reside in Quebec permanently.

Eligibility criteria for Quebec Skilled Worker Immigration are as follows:

Start-up Visa Investor Program

The eligibility criteria for The Start-Up Visa Investor program is listed below

  • Applicants need to own a business
  • Knowledge of both English and French
  • Letter of support obtained from a designated institution to show funding
  • Proof of funds to support the family

Entrepreneur Program

The eligibility criteria for the Entrepreneur program are as follows;

  • Applicants have to establish a business in Canada within 2 years after arrival.
