How many types of work visas are there in Australia?

There are two types of Australian Work visas: Temporary and Permanent Work visas. The Australian work permit validates an individual's right to work legally. These visas are designed to encourage overseas applicants to obtain sponsorship through an employer or to secure the nomination. Most foreign skilled workers choose to work in Australia because of the opportunities for career growth and salary.

Most Australian work visas are permanent, which automatically makes an individual a permanent resident. However, if an individual applies for a temporary work visa, they can have a permanent visa if they worked and lived in Australia for a few years and complied with their short-term visa conditions.
