Skilled—Recognised Graduate visa (Subclass 476)

The Skilled Recognition Visa (Subclass 476) mainly allows recent engineering graduates to work and live in Australia for 18 months. A person with a degree who is applying for the visa must have finished their studies at an eligible university within two years. The applicant may not be eligible for the Subclass 476 visa if they already have other visas like Subclass 485.

Eligibility and Requirements for Subclass 476 Visa

  • Have an engineering degree from a recognized educational institution
  • Applicant must be under 31 years of age.
  • Applicant, while applying for Subclass 476, must not be a primary holder of a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) visa or a Skilled – Recognised Graduate (subclass 476) visa.
  • You and any family members applying for the visa must meet our health requirements.
  • You and any family members applying for the visa must meet our character requirement
  • Be proficient in English or hold a valid passport from:
    • The United Kingdom
    • The United States of America
    • Canada
    • New Zealand or
    • The Republic of Ireland
  • Sign the Australian values statement
  • Have a copy of your passport and national identity card
  • Submit documents proving any past or present relationships (e.g., marriage certificates, divorce documents, death certificates, etc.)
  • Police certificates from a country where you stayed for at least one year
