Australia immigration for doctors

Australia has many job opportunities for doctors. Australian immigration gives several immigration pathways to overseas-trained doctors with qualifications according to Australian standards. This applies to applicants who have completed their medical training in Australia on a study visa.

A major component for skilled workers is to choose an occupation on the SOL (Skilled Occupation List). Every eligible subclass visa requires an occupation on the SOL, which will identify skill shortages in various industries in Australia.

ANSZCO defines each occupation in Australia. The ANSZCO is a classification that describes each occupation, skill level, registration, or other registration. Every occupation is assigned a unique ANSZCO code that will identify the occupation assigned to doctors in Australia.
