The Chevening Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship program for the students of developing countries. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organizations fund the scholarship amount for eligible aspirants. This scholarship comes under the UK government’s international scholarships and fellowships program. Chevening is one of the best study allowances in UK. The grant is awarded to excellent students with leadership potential worldwide. The scholarship allows students to pursue one-year master’s degrees at any university in the United Kingdom.

Eligibility for Chevening Scholarship

Selection Process

Selection of candidates

The selection committees assess and shortlist the eligible candidates by checking their academic excellence. After shortlisting the qualified candidates, the list will be forwarded to the British embassies and high commissions.

Interview round

After the embassy/high commission review, candidates are called for the interview round.

References and education documents deadline

Candidates shortlisted for the interview round will be requested to submit the required documents and two references before the interview date.

The application process for the Chevening Scholarship is online. Applicants must apply along with the following documents:

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • An updated Resume/CV
