Prince Edward Island issues invitations to Canadian immigration candidates

On September 15, 2022, PEI PNP sent 147 invitations nominating candidates to apply for a Canada PR visa. The categories that were taken under consideration are:

• Labor & Express Entry invitations
• Business work Permit Entrepreneur

Interesting facts

• This draw issued the highest number of invites to date since December 2021, under the above-mentioned categories.
• The minimum threshold score for the Business Stream was reduced by 12 points, in comparison with that in the previous draw held in August 2022.
• 142 candidates who received invitations were selected from the Labor Express Entry stream. 5 invitations were sent to candidates under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream.
• The highest number of invitations sent under the Labor & Express Entry category before this draw was 138.

Points to remember

1. To be eligible under the Express Entry category, the candidate must possess a valid EOI (Expression of Interest) profile with Prince Edward Island PNP, apart from the Express Entry profile through FSWP, FSTP, or CEC.
2. To be eligible under the Labor Impact category, the candidate needs to have an EOI profile that is valid under ne of PEI PNP streams. This category also expects a valid employment offer from an authorized employer in PEI. The following are the streams under the Labor Impact category:

• Skilled Worker
• International Graduate
• Critical Worker

3. To be eligible under the Business impact category, the candidates need to be international

Entrepreneurs, who are willing to begin their business on Prince Edward Island. The cut-off score under the Work permit stream under this category is 60.
