Express Entry CEC Draw, Sep 29 Canada, the best country in the world to agile, amazes its migrants by conducting 19 Express Entry draws just for PNP candidates in 2021. On September 29, 2021, Canada held its 19th Express Entry draw and invited 761 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence. These candidates previously received nominations under a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), which accounts for the automatic addition of 600 points to their base Express Entry score. Hence their score will increase to more than 700, and the minimum score required for this draw is 742. In the previous PNP draws, the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) invited 521 PNP candidates having a minimum score of at least 732.

The new draw is larger but also has a higher score cutoff, suggesting there are more high-scoring candidates in the pool under the Provincial Nominee Class.  Number of ITAs issued in 2021 IRCC invited more Express Entry candidates in 2021, to apply for permanent residence. In 2020, IRCC issued 107,350 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system. In 2021, IRCC has issued more than 108,000 invitations till date and still has 3 months to complete the year. The number of ITAs were driven through the roof on February 13, when IRCC invited every single Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidate in the pool.
Year Number of ITAs
2020 78,350
2021 109,696
Express Entry Draws So far this year, IRCC held only CEC and PNP draws. For this reason, the minimum score cutoffs have been up and down. Whenever there is a PNP draw the minimum score is considerably higher, since PNP candidates have all received a 600 point award. CEC draws tend to be lower, because the invited candidates are not competing with candidates that are eligible for other programs. However, if the CEC draw is considerably smaller, it could raise the score cutoff since IRCC is taking less off the top.
