The latest Study Overseas trends for Indian students have revealed that more girls than boys intend to take up specific professions. These include becoming Lawyers, Teachers, Journalists, and Psychiatrists. Meanwhile, more boys chose to become Entrepreneurs, Pilots, Engineers, and Software Developers.

Out of all the students who intend to become Psychiatrists, 8.8% are boys and 91.2% are girls. For Journalism, it was 23.3% boys and 77.7% girls, as quoted by the Print In.

Meanwhile, out of all the students who were inclined to become Software Developers, 83.4% were boys. Girls’ percentage for the same was 16.6%. For Engineering, it was 21.9% girls in comparison with 78.9% of boys.

In terms of overall career choices, most students; however, opted for Engineering with 23.5%. In the graph for overall choices, 5.1% intended to become Journalists. The percentage of those who wanted to become Psychiatrists was 3.8%.

The latest Study Overseas trends for Indian students have been revealed by the Cambridge survey. It was held for around 20,000 students and teachers across the world. Apart from India, the surveyed nations include the US, Argentina, Indonesia, Spain, South Africa, Malaysia, China, and Saudi Arabia.

The survey included around 3,800 students from India. The age group of the respondents was 19 to 5 years. It also reveals that Indian students are most studious and take extra classes in comparison with students from other nations. They also participate in the maximum number of extra-curricular activities such as sports with 72%.

The Cambridge survey reveals that Indian students are not just driven academically. They also utilize other learning opportunities to pursue their individual passions and interests.
