I come from a very small village in India where going to even a school was a challenge. There was a struggle in even getting the basic necessities of life. My father was a school teacher and my mother has always been a full time homemaker. Me and my sister were two siblings and was the apple of our parents’ eyes. Our neighbours and relatives had a very different perspective for their daughters and they wouldn’t let them study or play. They used to do all the household work with their mothers, but we were raised very differently by our parents. We had the best available facilities and went to the school where our father used to teach. This is how he used to keep an eye on us for our safety and societal pressure on the girl children. We both were the best students of our class and that’s how our parents recognized us.
After completing my class tenth examination, I was sent to a school in a big city close to our village. Being a very good student I did extremely well in my class twelfth examination and appeared for the engineering test held in the country. I managed to get into one of the best engineering colleges of the country and got a chance to move to the United States of America for one year as a part of a student exchange program from our college. That one year shaped my life and I was a completely changed person after that. It became my dream to permanently settle there and work in the US.
After I finished my college I got a very good offer from a multinational company in India with a very high salary. I had to postpone my dream of settling into the US for a while and concentrate my job in India. In just seven years, I could build a home in my village for my parents as they chose to live there. I also sent my younger sister for higher studies in the UK. And, after I completed all my dreams in India I was ready to fulfil my own. But, due to the extensive policy changes in the US economy, I couldn’t go to the country and thought of going to Canada.
This was the time when I came across Y-Axis, the biggest immigration and career consulting company in the world. It is with their help that I am a Canada permanent resident now. I would like to tell you more about my wonderful experience with the company.
Y-Axis guides you through the entire Express Entry system by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The Express Entry system fills labour shortages in the country by inviting more number of immigrants.
And, Y-Axis has been a great support in this entire migration process. Let’s discuss all the assistance I details.
I happened to own an amazing express entry profile based on the overall score and received my Invitation to Apply from IRCC. This wouldn’t have been possible without the immense support and trust on me. Sometimes, I think of the scenario if my parents have treated us the same way as our fellow villagers. How different could I have been than I am today? I am so thankful for their dream of making me and my sister ethical and educated individuals.
Y-Axis has helped me arrange all my documents by making a document checklist for the Canada PR application. The company has been an integral part of my journey as an engineer from India to Canada.
After six months of application processing, I finally moved to Vancouver. A city that everyone dreams of a city of friendly citizens and a true cosmopolitan. Canada has everything, starting from high-rise buildings, mild climate, to beautiful scenic views, and multicultural people. It’s like the country has two worlds; one has all the hustle bustles of city life and the second one has the mountains and the wild nature.
My next step would be to bring my parents here and show them around this beautiful country. Thanks to Y-Axis for making my and my family’s dream comes true!
