The Australian Immigration program facilitates skilled foreign workers' to come and work in Australia. The skilled migration program of Australia offers multiple options to skilled international professionals from various disciplines.

Australia skilled migration program

Detailed information about the various types of Australian immigration programs is given below.

Visa	Description
Skilled Independent visa (Subclass 189)	It is a PR visa for skilled workers in Australia who are not sponsored by an Australian state/territory or employer. Applicants are given points and evaluated based on age, educational qualifications, work experience, English language proficiency, and other factors.
Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) visa	A permanent residency visa facilitates skilled foreign workers nominated by an Australian state or territory to live and work in Australia.
Skilled Recognized Graduate Visa (Subclass 476)	This visa facilitates international engineering students who have recently graduated from Australia to extend their stay and look for employment. It is valid for 18 months.
Graduate Temporary (Subclass 485) Visa	This visa is aimed at international students who have graduated from Australia and have held a student visa for the last six months.
Skilled – Nominated or Sponsored Provisional (Subclass 491) Visa	A temporary visa facilitates skilled workers and their dependents to live and work in designated Australian regional areas for up to 5 years. After 3 years, it leads Australia PR through a subclass 191 visa. Applicants must be nominated by an Australian state or territory or sponsored by an eligible relative family member living in a designated Australian regional area to be eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for Australia's skilled immigration program

This migration program requires candidates to fulfill the eligibility conditions for the Australian immigration program. An individual must:

• Be below 45 years of age.
• Have the skills needed for the profession.
• Have the required proficiency in English language.
• Have an occupation in the SOL list.
• Meet the Australian requirements for health and character.
• Have 65 points or more in the points based system used for Australia immigration.
