Skilled Migrant Category Resident Visa The Skilled Migrant Category Resident Visa allows skilled workers to obtain New Zealand permanent residency. It is designed for individuals who possess the skills, qualifications, and work experience that are in demand in the New Zealand labor market.
Accredited Employer Work Visa If you have received a job offer from an accredited employer, you can apply for an Accredited Employer Work Visa. The employer must offer at least 30 hours of work per week. If your salary is at or above the New Zealand median wage of NZD 29.66 per hour, the visa can be valid for up to 3 years.
New Zealand Diplomatic Visa This visa is for domestic workers employed by diplomatic, consular, or official staff posted in New Zealand. The application must be supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Entertainers Work Visa This visa allows individuals to work in the film, video, or production industry in New Zealand if they have skills and experience that are needed by the local entertainment industry.
Long Term Skill Shortage List Visa You can apply for this visa if you have worked for more than two years in New Zealand on a Long Term Work Visa. Once granted residence, you can work and study freely in the country.
Post Study Work Visa This visa allows international graduates who have completed their studies in New Zealand to work in the country for up to three years and gain work experience related to their field of study.
Recognized Seasonal Employer Limited Visa This visa allows individuals to work in horticulture or viticulture sectors for planting, maintaining, harvesting, and packing crops if they have a job offer from a Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE).
Specific Purpose Work Visa This visa allows individuals to travel to New Zealand for a specific job, project, or purpose and stay for the time required to complete that objective.
Supplementary Seasonal Employment (SSE) Work Visa This visa allows individuals already in New Zealand on a student or visitor visa to work temporarily in seasonal horticulture or viticulture industries.
Talent Accredited Employer Resident Visa This visa is available to individuals who have worked for an accredited employer in New Zealand for more than two years and meet the eligibility requirements.
New Zealand Working Holiday Visa This visa allows young people from eligible countries to travel and work in New Zealand for a limited period while exploring the country.
Working Holidaymaker Extension This visa allows Working Holiday Visa holders to stay in New Zealand for an additional three months if they have worked in the horticulture or viticulture industry.

How to apply for a New Zealand work visa online?

You must first find the work visa application you seek and then start completing it online. In the application form, you must fill in personal details, travel history, employment/educational background, and other relevant information.

Before applying, make sure you have a RealMe account. First, create one RealMe account or log in to your existing account if you have one. This RealMe account will allow you to access the online application forms, track the status of your application, and receive communication from Immigration New Zealand.

From December 2, 2024, the New Zealand government will issue open work rights to partners of AEWW or Accredited Employer Work Visa holders in Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) Level 1-3 roles who meet the wage thresholds, permitting them to work for any employer.
