The top 5 Australian Industries have experienced double-digit growth of jobs in August 2018. Fresh advertisements for jobs enhanced in the August month by 5% nationally in comparison with August 2017. These figures have been revealed by SEEK ANZ.
SEEK ANZ Managing Director Kendra Banks said that the current growth of Jobs in top 5 Australian Industries is well above the national average. This is an indication of stable and healthy Australian Job Market for crucial industries, he added.

The Mining, Resources and Energy sector witnessed the greatest growth of job ads for the 13th successive month. Its growth was 29% across Australia in 2018 August in comparison with 2017 August, as quoted by the Insight Resources Seek.
Jobs growth was witnessed even by other largest employment sectors in Australia. The growth of job ads was double-digit for these also. These include Hospitality and Tourism with 12% and Healthcare and Medical also with 12%. Others include Community Services & Development and Trades & Services with 10% growth individually.
All regions in Australia witnessed an increase in jobs ads in August 2018. The only exception was Northern Territory. Tasmania was leading the regions with a growth of 16.7% in comparison with August 2017. It was followed by Western Australia with an increase of 14.1%. This was followed by the ACT with an increase of 7.4% and Victoria with 6.9%.
The Northern Territory witnessed a fairly steep decrease of jobs ads with – 7.1% in comparison with 2017 August.
It was quite interesting that ACT was well ahead of the rest of Australia. This was with the national rate of applications of candidates per ads with a 10.3% increase over 2017. It was followed by South Australia with a 3.1% increase and New South Wales with a 2.1% increase.
