The Newfoundland and Labrador province has announced the list of Canada Employers participating in the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. This is great news for aspiring overseas immigrants to Canada.
The list announced by N & L Government consists of 172 Canada Employers that have been designated. This is under the AIPP. It fast-tracks qualified overseas workers and graduates for Canada PR. This is for those who possess a job offer from a designated Canada Employer, as quoted by the CIC News.
The designated employers announced by N & L are spread across the entire business landscape of the province. It ranges from Aerospace Companies to Coffee Shops. These are in communities across the easternmost province of Canada.
The only Canadian province to declare the list of employers is Newfoundland and Labrador. This is amongst those participating in the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program.
Thousands of job openings have been anticipated in N& L till 2025. This is as per the government report. The reason is the decline in population of the province.
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program was introduced in 2017. The 3-year AIPP assists Canada Employers in the 4 Atlantic Provinces. These include the Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia. This is for hiring qualified overseas workers and graduates from Post-secondary institutions. It is for jobs that cannot be filled in the local job market.
The admissions via AIPP were set at 4,000 for 2020, 2,000 for 2019 and 1,000 for 2018. However, the government revised the 2018 figures in July to 2,500. This is owing to the increasing popularity of the program.
