The job site Indeed has revealed the best places to Work in Canada. Fairmont Hotels and Resorts have been ranked the Best Place to Work in Canada. It is a chain that runs the landmark hotels in Canada such as Fairmont Banff Springs and Chateau Frontenac.

The Indeed survey ranked employers based on 5 categories. These include work-life balance, job security & advancement, salary & benefits, and management and culture.

 

Indeed Canada Managing Director Jodi Kasten said that Fairmont excels on corporate culture. AccorHotels the French hotel giant owns the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts since 2016. It is a place where professionals starting at the entry level can move up the corporate ladder, said Kasten. This is a rarity at several workplaces nowadays, added the Managing Director, as quoted by the HuffingtonPost CA.

 

Ledcor, the British Columbia based construction firm is at the second position. It is followed by American Express the credit card giant at the third position.

 

Indeed assessed 600,000 company reviews on its website to determine the rankings. It narrowed down the list to companies that had 50 or plus reviews on the website. This essentially limited the lit to larger firms.

 

Kasten said that there are diverse ways by which the companies can enhance their appeal to employees. This could be in the form of extracurricular activities or offering summer parties. It could also include courses on soft skills or job functions of employees, added Kasten.
