Along with her Bachelors' and Master's in fashion designing and textile industry, she also holds a diploma from the School of Art and Crafts in Baripada in Fine Arts. She started her career as a Lecturer at Manipal University, Dubai. Later she quit her job as she grew interests in painting. Now she is a self-employed art practitioner in Dubai. She inspired many of them with her paintings as she works on the 'themes of nature.' Mohanty in her words "Dubai has been a very special place with diverse culture and vibrant arts. It is always been very supportive of the people in the arts and artistry. In such a place I am honored to receive this prestigious Golden Visa. I am overwhelmed with happiness after hearing the news. This type of reward strengthens my belief to follow heart and passion.
