A report released by Manpower Group showed 65 percent of Hong Kong employers find it difficult to fill job vacancies because of the shortage of talent.
The Hong Kong Occupation List consists of the occupations that are high in demand in the country. It is designed to attract overseas immigrants who have good skills and can contribute to the economy of Hong Kong. To increase the financial and economic status of Hong Kong, Higher authorities of Hong Kong design such a list under which skilled candidates can stay and work and improve the status of Hong Kong worldwide.
The Hong Kong Occupation List is composed of the high-demand occupations in the region. This is planned to attract immigrants from overseas who have strong skills and can contribute to Hong Kong 's economy. In order to strengthen Hong Kong's political and economic status, Hong Kong 's authorities create a list under which eligible applicants can live and work in the country.
If your occupation is on this list and you have good experience in it, the chances of getting a work permit will improve for staying and working in Hong Kong. To hire skilled workers from other countries, Hong Kong has an occupation list which determines the requirement of the country. It is also an indication of the sectors where there is a skill shortage in Hong Kong.
