Saskatchewan PNP launches new tech immigration program

Abstract: Saskatchewan has launched the Tech Talent Pathway for international tech professionals in eleven occupations.

Highlights:

  • Saskatchewan launches the Tech Talent Pathway to facilitate permanent residency for foreign national tech workers.
  • The program is conducted through the SINP or Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program.
  • The move aims to address the shortage of labor in the sector of technology in Saskatchewan.
  • Candidates already registered in the Express Entry pool are eligible for this Saskatchewan pathway.

The province of Saskatchewan announced a new immigration program for tech workers on March 7, 2022. The program is named Tech Talent Pathway and aims to attract foreign national workers in the tech sector.

Currently, the province is facing a shortage of tech workers. Employers of the technology and innovation sectors of Saskatchewan will be able to attract more talent to support innovation and compete globally.

This new stream will speed the process of immigration for tech workers working in Saskatchewan. It will also aid workers recruited out of Canada.
