RNIP

Thunder Bay in Ontario province of Canada is one of the 11 communities part of Canada’s Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot [RNIP].

A new community-driven Canadian immigration program, the RNIP has been specifically designed with the aim of spreading the benefits of economic immigration to the comparatively smaller communities in the country.

The RNIP creates a pathway to Canada permanent residence for skilled foreign workers that have the intention of working and living in any of the 11 participating communities. The Pilot allows eligible employers within the community to make full-time permanent job offers to skilled foreign workers in keeping with the identified labour shortages locally.

A 3-year Pilot, the federal government of Canada had made an allocation of up to 100 recommendations for Year 1 by the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission [CEDC].
