Abstract: Ontario issued 471 Notification of Interest in the recent draw held on March 24, 2022. Highlights:

• Ontario, Canada issues 471 Notifications of Interest to international immigrant workers.
• The draw was conducted through the stream of Express Entry Skilled Trades.

On March 24, 2022, Ontario held a draw for the stream of Express Entry Skilled Trades. The draw was held under the OINP or Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. It invited 471 international immigration workers by issuing letters for Notification of Interest. Eligibility for the Stream of Express Entry: Skilled Trades of Ontario

The stream of Express Entry Skilled Trades considers skilled trade workers in the agricultural and construction sectors. The applicant should meet the following eligibility requirements:

• An application should already exist in the system of federal Canada Express Entry.
• A minimum of twelve months of paid collective or continual work experience in Ontario in the last two years before your Notification of Interest. The job role should be listed in the NOC or National Occupation Classification 633, 72, 73, or 82.
• Proof of certification or license from the Ontario authorities if the job role requires so.
• A work permit
• The candidate should be a resident of Ontario when they apply.
• Proficiency in English or French according to the CLB or Canadian Language Benchmark 5 or more in writing, speaking, listening, and reading.
• Proof of funds to cover the expenses of the dependents. The amount of funds should meet the amount set by Canadian authorities.

The OINP or Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program frequently takes data from the Express Entry pool of IRCC or Immigration Refugees and Citizenship to search for the candidates who meet the requirements of one of the many streams of Express Entry immigration of Ontario. After the notification of interest has been received, the candidates have to submit an online application to the OINP. The candidate must submit an application within 45 days after receiving the NOI.
