Express Entry applicants with the required language proficiency or work experience in selected fields within these categories will receive Invitations to Apply. Healthcare sector represent almost half of the occupations eligible for category-based selection. STEM professions also hold a big share of eligible occupations.

Candidates with the highest CRS scores have a higher chance of receiving an ITA. Therefore, candidates are encouraged to enhance their CRS scores by improving language proficiency, relevant work experience, or pursuing additional education.

These new categories were selected in discussion with territories, provinces and other stakeholders. IRCC will announce the results of the draws in the annual report to parliament. It's important to note that categories may change every year.
