The UK High Court has ordered the Home Office to immediately stop Immigration removals. A charity defending the detainees had made a protest against the controversial ‘no warning’ tactic. According to them, this policy had been breaching the right to access justice.

As quoted by BBC News, the policy prevented Immigrants from putting their case. That was not fair. The Immigrants were instead put on a plane out of the country. The policy had hugely affected Overseas Immigrants in the UK. Also, the Immigration system was severely criticized for the same.

Mr. Justice Walker ordered an injunction to stop the Immigration removals. The Home Office would have to cancel 69 Immigration removals right away. They were scheduled to take place in the coming days. Hundreds of Immigrants are subject to this policy every year.

Immigrants are given the ‘Removal Notice Window’. It is a 3-day notice after which they can be removed from the UK.

The officials once detained a suicidal man and removed him on the same day. He didn’t get a chance to put his case. Hence, later on, a judge ordered the Home Office to bring him back. On the other hand, a Jamaican man who was a legit Immigrant was detained by the officials for no reason. It took him weeks to avoid being thrown out.

The charity said that most of the Immigrants did not get a chance to prepare evidence. It is a hardwired system wherein there is no justice. This is directly affecting the UK Immigration system, they added.

The injunction has stopped Immigration removal. However, the Home Office can still try to remove illegal Immigrants. They must provide the Immigrants with a specific date when it would take place. They cannot remove them out of the blue.

Mr. Justice Walker confirmed the news. He said there must be a full examination of whether the policy is lawful. The Charity welcomed his decision.
