World Happiness Report (WHR), 2024

The World Happiness Report (WHR) is prepared by WHR’s Editorial Board, Gallup, the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford (United Kingdom), and the United Nations’ (UN’s) Sustainable Development Solutions. WHR evaluates the happiness of people among 140 countries based on a three-year average. WHR compares different life stages among different age groups.

 

WHR divides the population of each country into four groups for overall rankings

• Under 30 years - The Young
• 30 – 44 years - Lower Middle
• 45 – 59 years - Upper Middle
• 60 years and above - The Old
