British commissioner announcement to Indian applying for UK visa

Alex Ellis, British high commissioner to India has tweeted a warning to Indian applicants who have been applying for the UK visa about the scammers, who have been using his name about providing easy jobs in the UK or providing UK visas quickly.

He warned five things to the Indians:

• Easy job in the UK
• Get a UK visa quickly and easily
• Guaranteed visa to the individuals who submit documents online
• Asking for money by email or phone on personal accounts
• Sharing bank or credit card details

Reason for the announcement

The tweet came into the picture after the announcement of an e-visa facility for British citizens who are traveling to India. These services are available at their doorstep for candidates who apply for e-visas, by Vikram Doraiswami, the Indian high commissioner to the UK
