Canada’s British Columbia has held another round of invitations, asking specific tech candidates to apply for a nomination.
Extended indefinitely and accordingly renamed, BC PNP Tech provides tech employers in BC the ability to hire international talent for positions that can’t be filled up locally.
Invitations by BC PNP go out to candidates under three categories – Skills Immigration (SI), Express Entry BC (EEBC), or Entrepreneur Immigration (EI).
While EEBC is linked with the federal Express Entry system, SI runs independently. Both SI and EEBC target skilled foreign workers that want to take up permanent residence in Canada and settle in British Columbia.
The previous BC PNP draw was held on November 23, 2021. The previous BC PNP Tech draw, on the other hand, was held on November 16, 2021.

British Columbia is among the 9 Canadian provinces and territories part of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), commonly referred to as simply the Canadian PNP.
As this was a BC PNP Tech draw, invitations were issued by BC to candidates that were –
(1) eligible for either the Skills Immigration (SI) or Express Entry BC (EEBC) immigration pathways, and
(2) had a job offer in BC under any of the 29 key tech occupations.
To be eligible for being considered for a nomination under BC PNP Tech, the job offer must be for a minimum of 365 days or one year, with at least 120 days left at the time of submitting their profile to the BC PNP.
|With the latest round of invitations, a total of 10,961 invitations to apply have been issued by the BC PNP so far in 2021.|
