Canada's Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document used by a Canadian employer to hire a foreign worker in Canada. Job offers recognized by the LMIA are considered valid for Express Entry and Canadian immigration pathways. The LMIA is one of the required documents to obtain a Canada Work permit. If eligible, you can also apply for Canada PR with a LMIA approved job offer.
Various provinces in Canada hold provincial nominee programs to attract skilled immigrants to Canada. The Canada PNP is another excellent pathway to migrate to Canada with a job offer. An eligible job offer approved by the LMIA can increase your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the IRCC.
