The Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra is offering new services for Indians that includes UAE Work Visas and job offer letters verification. The PBSK is an authority functioning under the Community Welfare Wing office of Indian Embassy, Abu Dhabi and the Consulate of India in Dubai.
The PBSK is now making a provision for checking UAE Work Visas and letters of job offers for Indians prior to their arrival to the UAE. The aspiring immigrants have to send their documents to the email address of the helpline. The further requirements will be taken care of by the PBSK, as quoted by the Khaleej Times
The PBSK is an enterprise of the Government of India through its Ministry of External Affairs.
2 individuals were arrested for cheating 17 Indians and the latter was deported. This was for arriving with fake UAE Work Permits in 2017. The Consulate of India in Dubai has thus cautioned job seekers to verify the status of their UAE Visa with PBSK if in doubt.
Job applicants can also confirm their Visa status on the website of Amer prior to their travel. They can also do it on the Department of Labour website of the Consulate-General of India in Dubai.
The Delhi Police had detained 2 individuals for operating a syndicate that supplied fake UAE Permits. The indicted have been recognized as Javed Ali from Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh and Manoj Kumar Sharma a resident of Delhi.
The Embassy of India in UAE had previously urged its nationals in the UAE to come up to it if they are not paid their salaries. It issued a tweet in this regard – “All Indian citizens are intimated that they must inform the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Dubai’s Consul General of India if their salaries are delayed by the employers in the UAE”.
