The requirements of UK Tier 5 Temporary Worker Visa

The applicants of the UK Tier 5 Temporary Worker Visa must intend to arrive in the UK for a short period to do training or for work experience. It could also be for Language Program of the Overseas Government. Fellowship or research via an authorized exchange scheme approved by the government is also included. The applicants are required to:

• Possess a sponsor
• Be from outside the EEA - European Economic Area and Switzerland
• Fulfill the other eligibility criterions

A certificate of sponsorship from a licensed sponsor will also be required for the UK Tier 5 Temporary Worker Visa. The research, training, or Work in the UK must relate to the work of the sponsoring organization of the applicant.

 

The sponsor of the UK Tier 5 Temporary Worker Visa can be any one of the below:

• An organization that administers an approved exchange program
• Higher education institution if the applicant is an examiner, visiting academic or sponsored researcher
• An agency or department of the Government

The earliest that one can apply for this visa is 3 months prior to the commencement of the work. This is as per the sponsorship certificate. The Visa decision can be expected within three weeks, as quoted by the Gov UK. The cost depends on the individual circumstances, the location, and manner of application.

 

The applicants are also required to bear the surcharge for health care. They can reside in the UK for 1 or 2 years or for the time specified on their sponsorship certificate. This depends upon the scheme through which they have applied. Additional 28 days will be permitted.
