Fastest growing freelance jobs in Australia

Australia based crowdsourcing marketplace website, Freelancer.com, released its latest Fast 50 Report charting the fastest growing and declining job categories.

 

Social media jobs and creative skills show the highest rise in demand. Website development, as well as internet applications, also were in high demand.

 

React.js jobs grew by 25.73% in the last quarter. React.js is the open source JavaScript library which is used for mobile applications and user interface development. Almost 2,121 React.js jobs were posted by Freelancer.com, placing this job category in the second position in terms of growth.

 

Active Server Pages (ASP) which is the server side script engine used for web pages also showed immense growth in demand. Freelancer.com posted 2,138 ASP jobs in the third quarter, which was a 21.75% increase quarter-by-quarter. This placed ASP jobs in third place over the quarter, in terms of growth.

 

Angular.js, another JavaScript-based web application framework, saw a growth of 7.75% with almost 475 jobs being posted on the website.

 

Projects featuring Adobe Flash grew by 19.54% with almost 1,890 jobs, as per The Business Insider.

 

Social Networking jobs were the seventh highest in-demand jobs with a growth of nearly 16.90%. Almost 2,283 such jobs were posted by Freelancer.com. Facebook Marketing, with a growth rate of 15.05% with 6,733 jobs was ranked eighth among the fastest growing jobs.
